Job/Fellowship description
The research group of Prof. Morgado Dias is looking for candidates for a project in Natural Language Processing with Artificial Intelligence techniques to analyze feedback from customer’s feedback.
The purpose of this work is to:
-Label costumer’s feedback in an automatic way through Natural Language Processing;
-Process costumer’s feedback through Natural Language Processing;
-Define sentiment associated with the customer feedback.
Requisitos de admissão
Requirements
Candidates should meet the following requirements, skills and competences:
• A Bachelor or Master degree in, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or Computer Engineering (preferred) or similar areas, completed before arrival.
• Must be registered as a student. There is a preference criterion for students who are or will be supervised in our research group. You need to state clearly that you will meet this criterion.
• Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Processing knowledge are a preference criterion.
• Good oral and spoken English as well as good communication skills. TOEFL or IELTS scores are encouraged. At least the English proficiency that fulfills the requirements of CSC applications is necessary.
• Teamwork spirit.
• Self-motivation and independent working ability.
• Knowledge of and research experience related to the above fields are strongly preferred.
• Previous published work is a preference factor.

Workplan
1) Label costumer’s feedback of the existing database in an automatic way through Natural Language Processing;
2) Process costumer’s feedback through Natural Language Processing and connect it to numerical grading;
3) Define sentiment associated with the customer feedback.

The work will be conducted under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Morgado Dias.
Prof. Morgado Dias research expertise includes Artificial Neural Networks, FPGAs and Renewable Energy.

Salary
ARDITI fellowship stipend (875,98€ for Bachelor's degree or 1144,64€ for Master's degree) and regulations are determined by ARDITI:

Voluntary Social Security (SSV) and accidents insurance are included.

The curricular selection process will be based on:
• Curriculum Vitae (30%)
• Former research experience (20%)
• Selected candidates might be invited for an interview or short exam (50%).
