HR Excellence in Research
ARDITI is committed to providing attractive, fair and transparent working conditions for researchers, in line with the principles of the European Charter for Researchers.
In this context, ARDITI has launched the formal process to obtain the HR Excellence in Research recognition from the European Commission.
HR Excellence in Research Award
The HR Excellence in Research Award is a quality label granted by the European Commission to research organisations and funders that align their human resources policies with the European Charter for Researchers.
The award recognises a long‑term, structured process of continuous improvement in the recruitment, support and career development of researchers at all stages.

Process and participation
ARDITI will follow the standard phases of the HR Excellence in Research process: internal analysis, definition of an Action Plan, implementation, and periodic review in dialogue with the European Commission.
Researchers and staff have been involved through surveys, focus groups and internal meetings, ensuring that the priorities identified reflect real needs and contribute to a more attractive and supportive research environment.
Key documents (Initial Phase)
The initial phase is complete, and the application for the HR Excellence in Research Award is based on four outputs required by the European Commission:
- Process Description
- GAP Analysis (European Charter for Researchers Checklist)
- OTM‑R Checklist (Open, Transparent and Merit‑Based Recruitment)
- Action Plan
Once the assessment is completed and the Award has been granted, these documents and subsequent updates will guide ARDITI’s implementation of the HR Excellence in Research commitments.
