The main objective of this project is to research, develop and implement a mobile health app appropriate to the context of the educational community of the Madeira Autonomous Region. This mobile app for surveillance and response to infectious disease outbreaks, such as COVID-19, aims to facilitate healthy communication between health agents (i.e., Regional Directorate of Health and Regional Directorate of Education), and schools.
This system has awareness in other areas still related to surveillance in planning by the health system (ie, regional planning plans such as education logic, education and other health objectives) in the school context.
This project intends, from a multidisciplinary collaboration, integrating public health, computer engineering, design and education specialists to improve a health app for mobile devices with a focus on infectious diseases adapted to the Education system of the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
An implementation of this type of digital technology, prioritizing the maximization of educational benefits, the well-being and health of students, teachers and the educational community in general, helps to prevent new outbreaks of infectious diseases in the school community.
