Job summary: The ETC project (M1420-01-0247-FEDER-000019) aims at studying novel assistive technologies for patients, studying and researching the usage of remote monitoring devices and its impact on mental health and wellbeing of both patients and informal caregivers. The overall goal is to design and develop novel assistive experiences mediated by technology and using an “emotional design” approach. In this context, ITI-ARDITI is looking for a Human-Computer Interaction Designer/Researcher or equivalent (for only enrolled PhD students), preferably with proven experience in the design, development and evaluation of behavior change tools and digital design for well-being. The successful candidate will assist the research team of the ETC project, specially focusing on the design and validation of the technology-mediated artefacts aimed at improving the wellbeing of patients in home care facilities as well as the wellbeing of their respective caregivers. |

Plano de trabalhos/Workplan: The selected fellow will assist in developing and participate in research activities (both in the field and in the lab) related to behavior change design for healthcare. Specifically, the fellows’ work plan will include (but not exclusively):
Scientific guidance and workplace: The proposed work will be coordinated by Prof. Pedro Campos (ITI/LARSyS/UMa) and will be conducted at ARDITI, Madeira Tecnopolo, Funchal, Madeira Island (Portugal). Duration: 12 months, non-renewable. Salary: ARDITI fellowship stipend (1064€) and regulations are determined by ARDITI. Estimated contract start date: 1st May 2020.
