It is important to study how policies and regulations could best govern transport and mobility systems in desired directions to become more sustainable and just, for instance, concerning gender, place, or low-income households, as well as their fiscal impacts.

The action should also address the interplay between carbonate chemistry and a variety of biogeochemical and physical processes, including eutrophication and freshwater inflow and outflow in coastal zones. The action should further research the net response of natural ocean CH4 and N2O sources to future warming, including permafrost, and predict the magnitude and timing of the responses of each individual process.

Funding to boost the EU's defence capabilities and new measures for defence innovation. Projects are divided between research actions and development actions, and for each theme, the type of activities expected within the project (e.g. study, prototyping, design, development, testing, qualification) is specified.
