RESTART Programme seeks to support a competitive return to research activities after returning from parental leave, seeking to minimize the impact of parenthood on the career horizons and research path planning of female researchers. It will fund individual projects for a maximum amount of 50.000€, with a duration of 18 months. Applications open on April 9.

The European Commission's Joint Research Center (JRC) has launched an additional Call for access to the Nanobiotechnology Laboratory as part of the framework for open access to its research infrastructures.


Deadline: October 23, 2024

COST - European Cooperation in Science and Technology funds transnational collaboration activities in a system of open-access, bottom-up networks of researchers in all scientific and technological fields. These networks, called COST Actions, enable advances in the development of scientific knowledge, helping to strengthen Europe as a leader in R&TD.

SeaClear2.0 is developing an integrated approach to address the full cycle of marine litter to help meet the objectives of the Mission to restore, protect and preserve the health of our oceans, seas and waters by 2030, in the context of the Mediterranean sea basin lighthouse. SeaClear 2.0 is seeking to collaborate with five associated regions in the four Mission lighthouses to showcase the feasibility, replicability and scale-up of the solutions developed within the project in other areas with ecosystems that can benefit from the achievements and demonstration activities from the project.

Culture Moves Europe’s second call for individual mobility targets artists and cultural professionals working in the following sectors: music, literature, architecture, cultural heritage, design and fashion design, visual arts and performing arts.

The second call for residency hosts provides financial support to organisations and artists registered as legal entities working in the sectors of music, literature, architecture, cultural heritage, design and fashion design, visual arts, and performing arts. Legal entities can be non-profit organisations, non-governmental organisations, public bodies, foundations, companies, self-employed persons, etc.

The third call for project proposals will be open from 20 March to 7 June 2024 (12:00 noon CEST - Paris time).

Applicants for the ERC Advanced Grants - called Principal Investigators (PI) - are expected to be active researchers who have a track-record of significant research achievements. The Principal Investigators should be exceptional leaders in terms of originality and significance of their research contributions. No specific eligibility criteria with respect to the academic requirements are foreseen.

The action will be part of an existing project with a valid Grant Agreement. Applications must demonstrate the R&I added value of the new partner and present a visible and distinct work package for the acceding partner. The proposal should include a detailed description of the profile of the new partner and its role in the existing project.

Research recruitment

The goal of MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships is to enhance the creative and innovative potential of PhD researchers who wish to acquire new skills through advanced training in international, inter-sectoral and interdisciplinary mobility. The scheme also encourages researchers to work on research and innovation projects in the non-academic sector. It is open to researchers wishing to reintegrate in Europe, to those displaced by conflict, and to researchers with high potential who are seeking to restart their careers in research.

PRIZE

This prize aims to annually reward innovative works carried out based on historical information preserved by Arquivo.pt. The works can cover topics from any area.


The Prize annually rewards films lasting up to seven minutes, in Portuguese or subtitled in Portuguese, about the importance of the ocean.


The Competition acts as a beacon for social innovators across Europe, incentivising & rewarding early-stage ideas, shaping our society for the better.

The Horizon Europe strategic plan 2025-2027 steers research and innovation funding  2025-2027, addressing the key global challenges such as climate change, loss of biodiversity, the digital transition and an ageing population.


The call for expressions of interest aims to collect applications from communities of relevant stakeholders who wish to contribute to the objectives of the Mission. The objective of the technical assistance is to support selected applicants in developing and strengthening their actions contributing to one or more of the targets of the Mission Ocean and Waters. Selected projects will gain access to technical assessments and feasibility studies.
